5 Hits for Green Sox Carrasco Tuesday, August 19th , 2053 It was a sensational day at the plate for Greensboro Green Sox right fielder Manny Carrasco, but a tough one for the team, as the Green Sox dropped the contest 8-7 to the Flagstaff Venom. Even with the loss, Carrasco was pure misery for the Flagstaff pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-6 in an explosive display of hitting. "It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Carrasco, who is the 21-year old right fielder . "Carrasco really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Venom manager told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Manny Carrasco grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
