No Playoff Berth Coming for Greensboro Friday, September 5th , 2053 The Greensboro Green Sox may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in Union League. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today. "I feel like we have a great group," Green Sox manager said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season." Greensboro last appeared in the postseason in 2035. This is their 18th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 25 times in their 40-year history. Greensboro last won the Union Cup in 2034. |
