Greats Davidson Out Rest Of Season Saturday, September 13th , 2053 The doctors have spoken and Mark Davidson of the Cooperstown Greats didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old closer is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Davidson sustained his season-ending injury during the Menlo Park Marauders game yesterday at Field of Dreams. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Cooperstown medical staff reported Davidson had a torn back muscle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. In 2053 Davidson has totaled 25 relief appearances, worked 26.2 innings, struck out 26 and issued 9 walks. He has 14 saves and fashioned a 5.06 ERA and a 2-4 won-lost mark. |
