Mathews Red-Hot, ULW Player of the Week Monday, August 17th , 2054 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the West, but last week Jake Mathews of the Fort Collins North Stars reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Mathews rocked opposing pitching for a .560 average (14-for-25), 2 home runs and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. This season Mathews is batting at a .319 clip with 11 home runs and 70 RBIs. |
