Montgomery Kings Capture Union Cup Sunday, October 10th , 2055 The Montgomery Kings ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Paducah Tigers 5-1 to win the Union Cup. Montgomery won the series 4-3, capturing the title for the 3rd time. "We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Montgomery manager . "It's a great feeling." The champs finished the regular season 87-51 and claimed first place in the East. In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and third baseman Richard Patrick said the Kings have "great fans and they deserve this."
