Fontanillas Grabs ULW Reliever of the Year Award Thursday, October 21st , 2055 2055 was a year to remember for Jorge Fontanillas. The Paducah Tigers reliever was the owner of a 2.55 ERA this season over 77.2 innings of work. He made 37 relief appearances and had 6 saves, 69 strikeouts, 20 walks and a record of 11 wins and 5 losses. He's also now got some hardware, as the 30-year-old has been named the West Reliever of the Year Award winner. "It's something I can tell my grandchildren some day, pretty special," he said. He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Tim Payne of the Flagstaff Venom finished second in voting, while Alain Bellot of the Vancouver Trappers finished third.
