Duluth shortstop Augusto Jiménez thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Duluth to a 17-12 win over Springfield. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Jiménez said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Jiménez was 4-for-5 on the day with 10 RBI. Augusto Jiménez hit a two-run home run off Kojiro Aniya in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. Currently Jiménez is batting .250 with 24 hits and 8 home runs. He has knocked in 31 runs and scored 18 times. |
