ULW Star of the Week Picked Monday, August 12th , 2058 23-year-old Aurelio Pineda made a few Vancouver headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and West officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 14 hits in 28 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Pineda collected 3 home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 6 runs. This year Pineda has collected a .327 batting average to date with 134 hits in 410 at-bats, 66 RBIs, 17 home runs and scored 67 times. He has played in 104 games. |
