Week's Best Player Honored by ULE Monday, August 19th , 2058 25-year-old Alan Hill made a few Savannah headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and East officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .440 average. Hill collected 1 home run, 7 RBIs and scored 6 runs. So far this year in 8 games Hill is hitting .444 with 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 6 runs scored. |
