Knights End Curry's Streak Thursday, August 22nd , 2058 It was a doubly miserable day today for Brian Curry of the Montgomery Kings, as he saw his 24-game hitting streak end and his team lose 6-5 to the Duluth Knights at Kings Palace. The 22-year-old right fielder was held hitless in 2 at-bats by the Knights. "Anyone on a 24-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Duluth manager said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." This season Curry is swinging the bat at a .409 pace. He has hit 3 home runs and scored 35 times, while driving in 31.
