5-Hit Game for Tanner Wednesday, August 28th , 2058 It was a sensational day at the plate for Springfield Lincolns right fielder Caleb Tanner, but a tough one for the team, as the Lincolns dropped the contest 5-4 to the El Paso Express. Even with the loss, Tanner was pure misery for the El Paso pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-5 in an explosive display of hitting. "It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Tanner, who is the 25-year old right fielder . "Tanner really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Express manager told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Caleb Tanner singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Tanner is hitting .376 this season with 4 home runs, 45 RBIs and 38 runs scored.
