González Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Tuesday, April 8th , 2059 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-9 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Juan González, it came around today. The 26-year-old right fielder scattered hits all over Fort Collins Ballpark to pace the Fort Collins North Stars to a 8-7 victory over the Nampa Stampeders. Nampa skipper told reporters in the press room that "González deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, González hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Juan González walked in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th, flied out in the 12th, doubled in the 15th, singled in the 17th and flied out in the 20th.
