Gonzáles Hits for the Cycle Saturday, May 31st , 2059 It was a special day for Orlando Gonzáles at Venom Field today. Not only did Gonzáles's Flagstaff Venom beat the Nampa Stampeders 16-1, but the catcher hit for the cycle along the way. The 26-year-old Gonzáles racked up 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to get his name in the record books. For the game, he went 4-for-5 with 3 runs batted in and 4 runs scored. "He hit everything we threw," said Stampeders manager . "There was just no getting him out today." Speaking to the press after the game, Gonzáles said his goal for the day had been to look for "first pitch fastballs." "I got some good looks today," he said. Orlando Gonzáles hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Mike Hatcher in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
