Eric Moore Wallops 3 Homers for Crabpots Thursday, September 11th , 2059 Players don't hit three home runs in a game very often and when they do, it is something to celebrate. After today, Eric Moore can celebrate. The Ocean City Crabpots first baseman powered three into the stands at Field of Dreams today against the Cooperstown Greats. "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Moore told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one." In all, he was 3-for-4 as the Crabpots toppled Cooperstown by a score of 6-4, knocking in 4 runs and scoring 3 times. "He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Ocean City manager said. "He gets the ball up in the air." Eric Moore walked in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Alec Harper in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Carlos Olguin in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Steve Hamilton in the 9th. Moore has a .277 average and a .410 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 70 hits, 21 home runs and driven in 51 runs. |
