Larsen 5-for-6 for Salem Thursday, April 22nd , 2060 Josh Larsen exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Paducah Ballpark. The Salem center fielder had a field day in the 11-0 triumph over the Paducah Tigers, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Larsen must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Josh Larsen hit a two-run single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. In 18 games this season Larsen has batted at a .389 pace with 28 hits and 2 home runs. View Boxscore |
