League Punishes Pair for Fighting Tuesday, June 8th , 2060 Abdul-Muhaimin Jamil of Philadelphia and Adnan Ayyub of Albuquerque were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Jamil will have to miss 5 games for his part in the brawl, while Ayyub was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. This year Jamil has hit at a .276 clip with 58 hits, 17 home runs, 49 RBIs and 36 runs scored. Thus far this season, Ayyub has tossed 62.1 innings in 10 starts, fanned 55 batters, walked 13 and put up a 2.89 ERA with 5 wins and 1 loss. |
