Bolivar Gets 5 Hits Friday, July 9th , 2060 It was a parade of hits for Nelson Bolivar of the Salem Cherries at Trappers Field today. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Bolivar finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Cherries to a 4-2 victory. "Bolivar was really good and we were really bad," groaned Trappers manager . "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Nelson Bolivar singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and doubled in the 9th. So far this year Bolivar is hitting .355 with 3 home runs.
