Hoskins Pounds 3 HR Friday, July 27th , 2063 Jeremy Hoskins went on an explosive hitting spree against the Nampa Stampeders at Field of Dreams today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the Cooperstown Greats to the 8-3 win. The right fielder finished 3-for-4 with 4 runs scored and 6 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Hoskins said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Nampa skipper said Hoskins was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Jeremy Hoskins hit a two-run home run off Noah Heimes in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Jason Lynch in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Henry Archuleta in the 8th. So far this year Hoskins has hit .271 with 20 home runs, 64 RBIs and 60 runs scored. |
