Watkins Boosts Hit Streak to 25 Games Sunday, May 24th , 2065 The Paducah Tigers fell to the Nampa Stampeders in Stampeders Ballpark today, even as 23-year-old right fielder Doug Watkins upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games. Watkins finished with 2 hits in 2 at-bats, but could not stop the Tigers from dropping the 13-5 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Watkins. Doug Watkins singled in the 1st and singled in the 4th. So far this season Watkins is batting .307 with 4 home runs. |
