Uzzo and Padilla Suspended 2 Games for Brawl Sunday, June 28th , 2065 One player challenged the other with some angry words at the North Stars-Knights game at Fort Collins Ballpark yesterday. There was some pushing and shoving -- then the dugouts emptied. There was a lot of scuffling, but no punches thrown. When order was finally restored and the dust settled, the umpires ejected Fort Collins's Alex Uzzo and Duluth's Rafael Padilla. Now both antagonists will get some time off, courtesy of the league commissioner. They were suspended 2 games for inappropriate and aggressive behavior. This year Uzzo is batting .298 with 15 home runs. For the season Padilla has 1 save, tossed 50.1 innings, fanned 37 batters and produced an ERA of 3.04. He has also been credited with 4 wins and 4 losses. |
