Bast Gets 5 Hits Friday, July 10th , 2065 5 times is the charm -- at least for Chris Bast. The Nampa Stampeders left fielder tore up the Albuquerque Scorpion Kings to the tune of 5 hits in 7 at-bats at High Rock Park today. The offensive onslaught from Bast powered the Stampeders to a 6-5 win. "Bast was a tough out today," Albuquerque manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Chris Bast singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off D.J. Root in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 9th, singled in the 11th and singled in the 13th.
