Eley and Cheney Suspended for Free-for-All Friday, August 21st , 2065 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Ocean City-Cooperstown contest at Crabpots Field. The Crabpots Chris Eley and the Greats Mike Cheney will have to sit out 3 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Hitting .315 to date, Eley has 7 home runs and 43 RBIs. He has played in 78 games. Cheney has made 13 relief appearances this year and notched no saves. To date in 62 innings he has a 2-4 record, 5.95 ERA with 34 strikeouts and 16 walks. |
