Springfield's Remlinger Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Wednesday, September 9th , 2065 It was a great day at the plate for Shane Remlinger. For his Springfield Lincolns, the day was not nearly as good. The first baseman collected 5 hits in 5 tries, but his club still came up short in the win column. The Albuquerque Scorpion Kings snatched the victory, topping the Lincolns by a score of 8-7. "Well that wasn't how it was supposed to end," Remlinger said later. "I'll just have to do it again and get it right." Shane Remlinger singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. For the season Remlinger has produced 114 hits in 388 at-bats for a .294 average with 23 home runs and gotten on base at a .383 clip. View Boxscore |
