Medina Hit Streak Over Thursday, June 19th , 2070 The Springfield Lincolns pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Jose Medina hitless in 4 at-bats during the club's 10-1 victory over the Flagstaff Venom at Springfield Stadium. The disappointing performance ended a 20-game hitting streak for the right fielder. "I'm a little down right now," Medina said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." This year, Medina has batted at a .319 pace with 83 hits, 11 home runs, 36 RBIs and scored 57 times. |
