Collins collected 5 hits against the Menlo Park Marauders, but he couldn't win the game. Vancouver fell, 12-8, in extra innings at Vancouver Field. "It's a shame we didn't win," Collins said later. "It would have been a very special day if that had happened." "In every one of his at-bats, things were in his favor," Marauders manager said. "We couldn't keep him from getting ahead in the count and once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get better pitches to hit."
