Efthimiou Whacks 3 Out of the Park for Paducah
Monday, June 8th , 2071
Bill Efthimiou brutalized the Greensboro Green Sox pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 12-7 Paducah victory at Paducah Ballpark. The Paducah Tigers catcher was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day.
"I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one."
For the game, he went 3-for-4 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"Too much Bill Efthimiou today," Green Sox manager said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to."
Bill Efthimiou hit a solo-shot off Jason Bick in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Jason Bick in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Ruben Avila in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
Currently Efthimiou is batting .382 with 29 hits and 7 home runs. He has knocked in 19 runs and scored 14 times.
