Shaw Stretches Hit String to 20 Wednesday, August 30th , 2045 Curt Shaw collected 2 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the New Boston Bruins, beat the Fort Collins North Stars 10-4. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Shaw quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Curt Shaw walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This season Shaw is batting .376 with 127 hits and 11 home runs. He has scored 68 times and has 61 RBI. |
