Bruins Lose Yánez for Season Wednesday, August 14th , 2047 The season is finished for José Yánez of the New Boston Bruins. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Bruins third baseman suffered a torn labrum while colliding with a player at a base in a recent game against the Salem Cherries. Team doctors said it would take at least 9-10 months to heal. So far this season Yánez is hitting .368 with no home runs, 15 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 35 hits in 95 at-bats and a .435 OBP. |
