It's Over: Storm Stop Takeuchi Saturday, August 28th , 2049 Philadelphia Stars shortstop Eisaku Takeuchi finally met his Waterloo. A 20-game hitting spree is now history after Takeuchi was unable to make anything happen in 4 at-bats today against the Savannah Storm. Fortunately for Takeuchi and the Stars, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game 6-2. "We're a true team here," he said. "For 20 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day." In his 2049 season totals, Takeuchi has 11 home runs, .312 BA, .406 OBP, 40 RBIs and 51 runs scored. |
