Rodríguez Picked ULW Player of the Week Monday, August 1st , 2050 26-year-old Jesús Rodríguez made a few El Paso headlines during this past week as the rookie shortstop proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and West officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 16 hits in 27 at-bats to put up a .593 average. Rodríguez collected 5 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 10 runs. This year Rodríguez has hit at a .290 pace and produced 51 RBIs, 15 home runs and scored 62 runs. |
