Piñeiro Wins ULW Player of the Week Prize Monday, May 8th , 2051 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the West, but last week Tomás Piñeiro of the Vancouver Trappers reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Piñeiro rocked opposing pitching for a .444 average (8-for-18), 4 home runs and 10 RBIs to come away with the award. On the season, Piñeiro is batting .309 with 7 home runs and 20 RBIs. He has played in 26 games. |
