Rey Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Wednesday, August 30th , 2051 It was a sensational day at the plate for Cincinnati Pride second baseman José Rey, but a tough one for the team, as the Pride dropped the contest 5-4 to the Cooperstown Greats. Even with the loss, Rey was pure misery for the Cooperstown pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-5 in an explosive display of hitting. "It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Rey, who is the 29-year old second baseman . "Rey really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Greats manager told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." José Rey doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and walked in the 12th.
