Savannah Loses Steve Wagner, Will Miss Season
Tuesday, September 10th , 2052
The doctors have spoken and Steve Wagner of the Savannah Storm didn't like what he heard. The 26-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Wagner sustained his season-ending injury during the Ocean City Crabpots game yesterday at Storm Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Savannah medical staff reported Wagner had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10 months.

To date this year, he has registered 1 save, 5 wins and 1 loss with a 4.09 ERA. Wagner has made 32 relief appearances, worked a total of 70.1 innings and surrendered 69 hits. He has fanned 67, issued 29 free passes and held opposing clubs to a .246 batting average.
