CLW Announces Best Pitcher for June Saturday, July 1st , 2056 Chris Lawson doesn't think about his career all that much. He doesn't fixate on yesterday and he doesn't worry about next season -- he has learned to worry only about today. That attitude, coupled with 2 saves in 7 relief appearances netted the 22-year-old reliever June's West Pitcher of the Month trophy earlier today. The Tucson reliever pitched 21.2 innings, struck out 19 and walked 8 on the way to a 3-0 mark and a 1.25 ERA. Thus far this season Lawson has compiled a 8-1 record, made 21 relief appearances with 3 saves, hurling 71.1 innings and striking out 53. He has held the opposition to a .263 batting average with a 2.90 ERA. |
