Colon Stretches Hit String to 20 Tuesday, May 7th , 2058 Guadalupe Colon ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games today at Water Wolves Park, when he collected 1 hit in 5 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the St. Cloud Water Wolves dropped the game, 18-4, to the Carlsbad Bad Apples. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Colon said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Guadalupe Colon grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. Looking at his season stats, Colon has compiled a .294 batting average and a .378 on-base percentage, while hitting 3 home runs and driving in 22 runs. |
