Barbier Swats 3 Homers

Erie Brigs left fielder Gérard Barbier left the St. Cloud pitching staff in ruins at Water Wolves Park today, beating the Water Wolves 16-6 with a prodigious three-home run performance.
"The last one was totally unexpected," Barbier told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three."
For the game, the Erie left fielder had 4 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 11 and scored 4 runs.
Gérard Barbier hit a two-run double in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Alfredo Munoz in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 8th.
So far this year, Barbier is batting .358 with 18 home runs and 57 RBIs.
