Moran Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Thursday, August 28th , 2059 Nobody has been able to shut down Corpus Christi Hooks center fielder Nelson Moran in recent days. The Coeur D'Alene Miners fared no better than the rest. Today at Miners Field, Moran picked up 2 hits in 5 at-bats en route to a 12-0 Hooks victory. It stretched his hitting string to 20 consecutive games. Nelson Moran hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a sac fly in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
