Bend Captures Wild Card Friday, September 12th , 2059 The Bend Beavers said they relish the role of underdogs. The Beavers have captured a West wild card position and will be looking to make some noise in the postseason. "I hope teams take us lightly because we didn't win the division -- but I think they know that would be a mistake," said closer Matt Lang. "If teams think we're a pushover, we've got a surprise for them." When the playoffs begin, Bend will be looking for its 4th Confederation Cup title. |
