Beavers on to League Championship Series Sunday, September 21st , 2059 The sweet swing of Corey Wagner has led his team through the Wildcard Series. The Bend Beavers star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the Carlsbad Bad Apples to advance to the League Championship Series. The Beavers won the final game at Beavers Field by a score of 7-3 and the series 3-1. "I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Wagner. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs." For the series, Wagner hit .429 with a .556 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Bend Beavers will play against the Corpus Christi Hooks in the next round. Corpus Christi had a bye in the Wildcard Series.
