Streak Finally Over, Massie Held Hitless Sunday, July 18th , 2060 Havre de Grace Ducks shortstop Kevin Massie finally met his Waterloo. A 20-game hitting spree is now history after Massie was unable to make anything happen in 4 at-bats today against the Hilton Head Islanders. Fortunately for Massie and the Ducks, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game 6-1. "We're a true team here," he said. "For 20 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day." On the year Massie has hit .312 with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 14 runs. |
