Mobile's Clynes Suspended for 4 Games
Friday, August 4th , 2051
The league has issued a 4-game suspension to Hammers catcher Xavier Clynes for his bad conduct yesterday at the Mobile-Hilton Head game at Hilton Head Park. Clynes was tossed out of the game for heatedly questioning a third-strike call. Once the home plate umpire ejected him, Clynes ran over to argue more, even though the umpire warned him specifically, "Don't you come over here."

Clynes then retreated to the dugout, where he threw several bats onto the field and followed with a toss of an athletic trainer's bag. Later, Clynes ran out of the clubhouse tunnel to continue arguing -- a big no-no for a player who has already been thrown out.

Thus far this year Clynes is hitting .211 with 5 home runs, 31 RBIs and 29 runs scored.
