Star of the Week Selected in CLW Monday, August 21st , 2051 20-year-old Chip Hester made a few Grand Junction headlines during this past week as the rookie second baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and West officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 14 hits in 24 at-bats to put up a .583 average. Hester collected no home runs, 3 RBIs and scored 10 runs. Presently Hester is batting .356 and has collected 5 home runs, 35 RBIs, .400 OBP and scored 71 runs. |
