Hester Strokes 5 Hits Tuesday, August 29th , 2051 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Chip Hester of the Grand Junction Lumberjacks. Hester went on a tear at Lumberjacks Ballpark and cracked hit after hit off Tucson pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 20-year-old second baseman had a career 5-for-5 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview. Despite Hester's personal accolades, the Tucson Baby Snakes walked off the field with the 6-5 win. Chip Hester singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Thus far this year Hester is batting .351 with 5 home runs, 38 RBIs and 76 runs scored. View Boxscore |
