Boucher Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Friday, July 19th , 2052 The Hartford Yard Goats may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 2-1 to the Toledo Ducks, but Rob Boucher continued to hit like a god. The center fielder collected 2 hits in 3 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Boucher is playing great and is on fire right now," Yard Goats manager said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Boucher was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Rob Boucher walked in the 1st, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th. This year Boucher is batting .360 with 5 home runs and 26 RBIs. In 31 games he has scored 23 times. |
