Mendoza Rips Cadiz for 5 Hits Sunday, September 15th , 2052 There are moments in a player's career that they will not soon forget. Albert Mendoza of the Coeur D'Alene Miners had one such moment at Cadiz Grounds today, when he went 5 for 5 at the plate. His hitting heroics weren't enough to pull out the victory, however, and Coeur D'Alene fell to a 9-8 defeat to the Cadiz Bat Hogs. "This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time," the 19-year-old right fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "It would have been very special if we had won the game." Albert Mendoza hit a two-run single in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
