Williams Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Wednesday, August 26th , 2054 Ed Williams has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 21-year-old Miami Aces second baseman extended his streak today to 20 games, going 1-for-3 as Miami got the best of the Sunrise Gators at Gator Field, 9-2. "Ed has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Aces manager said. Ed Williams flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 9th. Thus far this year Williams has hit .378 with 11 home runs and 47 RBIs. |
