González Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Sunday, July 2nd , 2045 António González has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 21-year-old St. Petersburg Crocodiles center fielder extended his streak today to 20 games, going 1-for-3 as St. Petersburg got the best of the Jacksonville Rockies at St. Petersburg Park, 7-5. "António has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Crocodiles manager said. António González walked in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th and flied out in the 6th. A look at his current stats shows González with a .308 average, 12 home runs, 55 RBIs and 48 runs scored. He has played in 77 games. |
