Hit Streak Over, Expos Stop Uytenhage
Wednesday, August 14th , 2047
Redington Beach center fielder Rien Uytenhage came into today's game against the Miami Beach Expos on a hot streak. He left on a cold one.

The Expos did their jobs well, beating the Redington Beach Panic 3-1 and holding Uytenhage hitless to snap his 25-game hitting streak. The 23-year-old center fielder had a few words to say after finishing 0-for-4, telling reporters only that he "came up short."

"What Rien did was exciting and quite an achievement," said Panic manager . "It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 25 games in a row. I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play."

Uytenhage is batting .396 this year with 6 home runs, 38 RBIs and 35 runs scored. He has 65 hits in 164 at-bats.
