Phil Wade Gets MVP Trophy
Friday, June 16th , 2056
He may have less experience than most of his College League peers, but that didn't slow Phil Wade down at all in 2056.
At the age of 20, the O'Hara Township College center fielder has been named the winner of the American Conference Outstanding Hitter Award.
He had a .367 batting average and a .457 on-base percentage this year. In 58 games he piled up 83 hits, 15 doubles, 2 triples, 11 home runs, 52 RBIs and 47 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Matthew Henderson of the Omaha College Canaries finished second in voting, while Brody Stevenson of the Anchorage College Caribous finished third.
