Jesse Baker Takes MVP Trophy Friday, June 16th , 2056 Jesse Baker took College League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 20. For his spectacular campaign, the Arlington College Hurricanes star has been named the 2056 National Conference Outstanding Hitter Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the center fielder. On the season he compiled a .357 batting average to go with a .408 on-base percentage. The native of El Paso, Texas also added 19 doubles, 2 triples, 12 home runs, 43 RBIs and 45 runs scored. He received 15 first place votes out of a possible 20. Luis Ramírez of the Gatineau College Golden Spikes finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Manny Salinas of the Ft. Wayne College Steamrollers finished third with 1 first place vote.
